Newest gathering spot for kids and teens in Rockville: Meow Claw, a bustling emporium of claw machines and snacks on the back side of The Shops at Congressional Village. In the storefront that once housed Snowbots, players are dropping in their tokens and trying their luck to win toys, dolls, stuffed animals, anime figures and limited-edition collectibles. Meow Claw is the latest addition to the newly busy shopping center, joining Uzu Revolving Sushi, Kanpai, Kajiken, Okaeri Japanese Cafe and Teso Life. Another new cafe and dessert spot, Chateau de Rockville, is also under construction. And the now-empty 7-Eleven space will likely have a tenant very soon.
