Greek restaurant Mykonos Grill, a fixture just off the Pike since 1998, is on its way out of Rockville. Owner Angelo Mitsotakis, who also closed the fast-casual Gyroland last year, says he’s shifting his focus to the 15-month-old Mykonos Restaurant at Cabin John Village. Mitsotakis and his wife, Rodi Tzani, will be bringing the chef and many of their most popular dishes from Rockville to Potomac. “Eighty percent of the menu — the trout, the swordfish, the moussaka, the oven-baked potatoes, the bread — is going to be moving over from Rockville, and the prices will be the same,” Mitsotakis says. Mykonos Grill is expected to close on Dec. 31st.

Went to the new Mykonos shortly after it opened. Overpriced and not the same as the original. We’ll see if this is really a shift to the old Mykonos or not.
