Kajiken, a new restaurant featuring “soupless ramen,” just opened at the Shops of Congressional Village on Rockville Pike. You can choose from chef recommendations like “The Original” (noodles with pork belly, nori and scallions) and the Old Bay Ebi (noodles with Old Bay-spiced shrimp, salad greens, onions, tomatoes and parsley). Or you can order plain noodles and create your own mix of toppings, including all-vegetarian options. Kajiken is the first of several upcoming new businesses that are transforming the Shops of Congressional Village into an Asian supercenter. Also on the way: Asian BBQ and hotpot restaurant Kanpai, revolving sushi bar Uzu, dessert spot Okaeri Japanese Cafe, and variety store Teso Life.
