Two new restaurants are on the way to The Shops at Congressional Village on Rockville Pike. Opening soon: Wing Pop, a fast-casual spot that’s taking over the former Gyroland space next to Okaeri Japanese Cafe. Opening late next year: Nong Geng Ji Hunan Cuisine, a popular chain in China that chose Rockville for its second U.S. location. The menu features spicy and smoky signature dishes like dry pot sauerkraut, stinky bean curd, minced pork with sour cowpeas, and wrinkled chili pepper cured beef. Nong Geng Ji will take over the former 7-Eleven space at the front of the shopping center, next door to Teso Life.
