Behind this maroon door at Pike & Rose, construction is almost complete on the new Bouboulina restaurant. This latest venture from the team behind Cava, Julii and Melina will open Friday, March 21st around the corner from REI. Bouboulina, named after a 19th century Greek heroine who led a naval command, will offer a hearty menu of steaks, seafood and cocktails with a Mediterranean flair.
Next up for the Pike & Rose restaurant scene:
- Falafel Inc., a fast-casual eatery moving into the former Kung Fu Tea/Tutti Frutti space.
- Mui, a Japanese restaurant replacing food hall The Block.
- Bartaco, a taco-and-cocktail spot replacing the recently closed Nada.
All three restaurants are expected to open by summer.
