Art gallery/fashion boutique The Jam, which opened last fall in the former Wentworth Gallery space, has gone dark after just four months at Westfield Montgomery mall. The gallery had been headed by D.C.-based artist Maggie O’Neill, who showcased some of her “Vote For Your Daughter” pieces just before the 2024 election. O’Neill had hoped to make the gallery a space for political conversations as well as a showcase for paintings, crafts, textiles, vintage goods and upcycled clothing by other local artists. “We found that this was not the right marketplace for art and bespoke and one-of-a-kind pieces,” she says.
