Teen retailer Aéropostale is closing its doors at Westfield Montgomery mall, apparently due to rising rent. This same store almost shut down back in 2016, after Aéropostale filed Chapter 11 and started clearing the shelves. But the retailer ended up getting acquired by Simon Property Group and staying in business at Westfield Montgomery for almost another decade. Simon owns a number of other struggling retailers, including Bonobos and Express, both of which it pulled out of Westfield Montgomery last year. What else does it own? Forever 21. We’re hearing they might be next.

Pretty soon this mall will be gone also.
