Nordstrom Rack will open its doors Oct. 29th on Rockville Pike, making Congressional Plaza the undisputed hub for off-price shopping in Rockville. The Rack is under construction in the former Buy Buy Baby space, where its neighbors will include Gap Factory, J. Crew Factory and Going, Going Gone! from Dick’s Sporting Goods. At 26,000 square feet, this new Nordstrom Rack will be roughly 30 percent smaller than the one on Shady Grove Road. For now at least, it appears the two will coexist. “If you’re looking for the widest possible selection,” a Shady Grove employee tells us, “I’m pretty sure you’re still gonna want to come see us.”
