Colony Grill has closed its doors after a three-year run at Potomac’s Cabin John Village. Reps for the pizza restaurant said Cabin John did not renew its lease. This had been the first and only Maryland location for Colony, a Connecticut-based chain that’s been serving its signature thin-crust bar pies since 1935. The pizza itself had both fans and detractors in Potomac, but the biggest complaint from locals was the total lack of non-pizza options. Colony finally tried to address that in recent months, adding a couple of salads to its menu. But at Cabin John, it appears the fix came too little, too late.
