Colony Grill opened its doors at Cabin John Village this week, offering thin-crust personal pizzas in a family-friendly atmosphere. You’ll find it around the back of the Cabin John mini-mall, where the former liquor store space has been transformed into a brick-walled tavern with an adjacent outdoor patio. This is the first Maryland location for Colony, an Irish-themed chain that dates back to the 1930s in Stamford, Connecticut. Its signature ingredient is the “hot-oil” drizzle (which isn’t really that hot). If you want salad, you’ll have to order it on top of a pizza. (Really, it’s a thing.) There’s also a full bar, and doors will stay open until 11 p.m. weeknights and 12:30 weekends.
