Lots of changes this week on North Washington Street in downtown Rockville, as a longtime Greek restaurant closed its doors and a new halal restaurant opened. Gone for good: Trapezaria Greek Kuzina, after a 10-year run. Owner Billy Kay tells us he plans to focus full-time on his auto auction company. “The restaurant business is tough,” he says, “especially in the Town Center.” Elsewhere on North Washington, Eerkin’s Uyghur Cuisine just opened in the former Amici Miei space at the Courthouse Center. Eerkin’s, which serves halal Asian food, relocated after a fire at its previous home in the Shops of Congressional Village.
