Here’s a sneak peek of the newest Bethesda Bagels, opening next week at Cabin John Village. This will be the chain’s biggest shop yet, with seven tables and a wraparound standing bar. Along with the famous chewy bagels, you’ll find sandwiches, house-made salads, nova, sliced meats, specialty cream cheeses and self-serve coffee. Founded in 1982 by Stephen and Fran Fleishman, and now run with their son Danny (pictured here), Bethesda Bagels has grown to six locations around the DMV. The Cabin John restaurant will be open from early morning to mid-afternoon for dine-in, takeout and catering.
In other Cabin John news this week:
- Club Pilates has opened in the mini-mall next to the Kema sushi restaurant. It’s the third fitness business to open at Cabin John Village this year, joining recent additions YogaSix and Pvolve.
- This is the final weekend for Colada Shop, which is exiting Cabin John Village after a four-year run. Taking over the space: Miami-based restaurant chain Pura Vida.
