LA Fitness is exiting Rockville Pike after a 13-year run at the NoBe Market shopping center. The April 1st closing, first reported by The MoCo Show, leaves Rockville without an LA Fitness and NoBe Market (home of Whole Foods and Seasons 52) with another huge empty space. Last year the center also lost Arhaus Furniture, which relocated to Westfield Montgomery mall. LA Fitness is the second gym to close in our area since the end of January, when Washington Sports Club also went dark at Georgetown Square.

I’m not sure this LA-Fitness was ever truly a “Signature” club after the Covid pandemic and subsequent lockdown. I truly enjoyed my time there, but don’t know why the club was closed l, especially after the pool was just reopened and renovated.. really unfortunate for those that recently joined and were not informed about the situation

I’m pissed about it. No notification. No explanation. No insight into what’s next.
It’s the only gym in the area with a basketball court. Now I have to get on 270…

Good. That place was a hot mess. Staff didn’t know what they were doing.

I have been to many of the local LA Fitness gyms except the Rockville one because it was one of their “Signature” gyms that cost additional plus you had to pay parking if you were there more than an hour. I am always at the gym for more than an hour.

It’s actually first 2 hours free parking but yea super annoying.
