Three weeks after it reopened at Congressional Plaza, Rockville’s new version of Buy Buy Baby is still a work in progress. Inventory was relatively thin when we stopped by this week, with just a handful of options for strollers, cribs and other large items that new parents would most want to test out in person. The selection of clothing and toys is more robust, and staffers tell us they expect a lot more products to arrive in the next few weeks. Buy Buy Baby, which closed its doors last summer after filing for bankruptcy along with sister company Bed Bath & Beyond, made an unexpected comeback in November after its name and some of its leases were purchased by New Jersey-based company Dream On Me. The Rockville store, whose employees were out of work for about four months, has been able to rehire many of them.
