High-end fitness chain Club Studio opened its doors this week on Rockville Pike, replacing LA Fitness at the Whole Foods-anchored North Bethesda Market. After a year of renovations, the gym offers brand new spaces for cardio and strength training, cycling, boxing, Pilates, yoga and trampoline classes, as well as an indoor pool, sauna and cryotherapy. Club Studio is the latest concept from Fitness International, which owns LA Fitness but is now looking to compete with higher-end chains like Life Time and Equinox. Membership starts at $139 per month.
