Big news on the local salon scene: Zohra, which went dark nearly a year ago at the Cabin John mini-mall, has found a new home at Park Potomac. “It’s amazing how things worked out — the timing was perfect,” says owner Ofeer Marwani, who was lucky enough to have his lease expire just as the pandemic was shutting things down. While his stylists have kept busy making house calls to longtime clients, Marwani took his time deciding on a new location. He ultimately settled on the former Karma space, which was designed for celeb makeup artist Erwin Gomez and has been sitting empty since October. If all goes well, doors will open on May 15th. The new Zohra will be right across from King Street Oyster Bar, the upcoming successor to Addie’s.
