SLT, a tony New York City-based fitness studio, is joining the boutique gym lineup at Rockville’s Congressional Plaza. SLT — short for “Strengthen, Lengthen and Tone” — is a Pilates-inspired workout using Megaformer spring-and-pulley resistance machines. This will be the first Maryland location for the 15-year-old chain, which has a presence in Manhattan’s most elite neighborhoods as well as New Jersey, Connecticut and Massachusetts. Monthly passes for the 50-minute classes range from $140ish to $400. SLT will be the fourth fitness studio to open at Congressional Plaza, joining CorePower Yoga, Orangetheory Fitness and Pure Barre. Doors are expected to open this fall in the space that previously belonged to Collars & Co., which has moved to downtown Bethesda.
