Two new developments in the Dining Terrace at Westfield Montgomery mall: The Sarku sushi bar is making a comeback, and D.C. restaurant HalfSmoke is moving in. Sarku will be returning shortly to its longtime kiosk under the new name Sarku Hana. HalfSmoke, which is taking over the onetime Cold Stone Creamery kiosk, will serve up southern cuisine and smoked sausages à la Ben’s Chili Bowl. HalfSmoke owner Andre McCain is also supposed to open a Rockville location at the Town Square, but that project has been stalled for almost two years. Meanwhile, McCain has another venture currently under construction at the mall: all-day breakfast restaurant Butter Me Up, opening this spring in the former Aroma space.
