Sarah’s Handmade Ice Cream is now scooping at its newest location: the Fallsgrove shopping center on Shady Grove Road. The five-year-old business, run by the mother/daughter team of Sarah and Annie Park, got its start in Bethesda’s Kenwood neighborhood and later expanded to Wildwood. Two other local newcomers have since opened their doors: The Scoop at Potomac’s Cabin John Village and Mimi’s Handmade at Rockville’s Federal Plaza. All three businesses make their ice cream fresh every day, and each is known for its own rotating selection of seasonal and unusual flavors. Later this year, Häagen-Dazs will join the ice cream party with a new location at Rockville’s Congressional Plaza.
