Capital Clay, a new ceramics studio for adults and kids, will open next month in an industrial park off Shady Grove Road. Students of all skill levels can sign up for drop-in sessions, one-day workshops, or multi-week classes including training on the pottery wheel. The studio is a partnership between Robyn Iqbal, a former global health executive, and Chris Landers, a longtime ceramics instructor who also owns Clay CoOp in Rockville. They hope to create a relaxed environment where total beginners can try their hand at ceramics while intermediate students continue to practice and refine their techniques.
