Capital Clay, a new ceramics studio for kids and adults, will open its doors next month in an industrial park off Shady Grove Road. Students of all skill levels can sign up for drop-in sessions, one-day workshops, or multi-week classes including sessions on the pottery wheel. The studio is a partnership between Robyn Isqal, a former global health executive, and Chris Landers, a longtime ceramics instructor who also owns Clay CoOp in Rockville. They hope to create a relaxed environment where beginners can get their hands dirty for the first time while intermediate students continue to practice and refine their techniques.
