Hunter’s Bar and Grill, a staple in Potomac Village since 1978, is changing hands this fall. Brothers Fred and Murray Berman, who have operated the restaurant for two decades, are selling to Potomac Pizza owner Adam Greenberg. “Hunter’s Inn is the local Cheers, but we think the food has some room for improvement,” says Greenberg, who also owns Bagels ‘n Grinds as well as the higher-end College Park Grill. His chef from the latter will be redeveloping the menu at Hunter’s, but Greenberg promises that the changes won’t be dramatic — at least, not yet. “We’re going to proceed cautiously,” he says. “There are some things on the menu that we want to fix, and some we don’t. We want to invite new people in, while still making the existing clientele feel very welcome. We think there’s room for both.”
