Westfield Montgomery mall is heading into the holidays with a bounty of new openings — and more yet to come.
In the Nordstrom wing:
- Locally owned boutique A Beautiful Closet has returned after a year-long absence. You’ll find it on the lower level.
- Right next door, the former J.Crew storefront has been repurposed as Santa’s Workshop. Staffers there will wrap your gifts while the kids engage in some holiday fun. (J.Crew has moved across the hall.)
- On the upper level of the Nordstrom wing, don’t miss the new art gallery/fashion boutique The Jam.
- Next up: The long-awaited Tory Burch store.
Over on the other side of the mall, near Old Navy and The Cheesecake Factory, there are three new spots to check out:
- A full-service menswear store, Peter Mason by Montgomery Custom Tailors, opened its doors last week.
- Another locally owned store, Embrace Greatness, is selling streetwear covered with inspirational slogans.
- Seasonal favorite See’s Candies is back with a holiday pop-up shop.
- Don’t go looking for toys in this section of the mall. Alex Baby & Toys just closed its doors after a two-year run. But the new store Mind Games, near Lego and Build-a-Bear, is well worth a visit.
On the food front:
- Kelly’s Cajun Grill — which also sells Chinese food — is now open in the Dining Terrace.
- Newcomer Falafel Inc. will open soon in the former Butter Chicken House space.
- Subway is moving into the old J. Chow’s space, but it likely won’t be open in time for the holidays.
