As we head toward the holiday shopping season at Westfield Montgomery mall, one toy store has made an unexpected comeback while another is on its way out. Squishable, the plush toy shop that closed its doors in July, has renegotiated its lease and reopened in its original space. Meanwhile, Alex Baby & Toys is going out of business after a two-year run across from Cheesecake Factory. The short-lived toy store chain, a division of music retailer FYE, has a handful of locations that all appear to be closing. Hopefully the new Mind Games store will have better luck at Westfield Montgomery. More on that here.
