All of a sudden, downtown Rockville has not one but two spots dedicated to Colombian snacks and coffee — and they’re just steps away from each other on North Washington Street. Weeks after the opening of Bogotá Coffee House, a food trailer from La Poteria Local has set up shop just down the block. On the menu: house-made Colombian coffee, puff pastry empanadas, pandebono (cheese bread) and pandebono waffles. This trailer marks the first move into Rockville for husband and wife Andrés Londoño and Monica Pulecio, who operate similar trailers at Clarksburg Premium Outlets as well as a brick-and-mortar cafe in Montgomery Village. In Rockville, the trailer is open daily from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. across the street from Trader Joe’s. Hours may change “as we get a feel for the neighborhood and what works best for our customers,” Londoño says.
