Jinlan Wenhua Dumplings, a staple at local farm markets, has opened a brick-and-mortar restaurant on Rockville Pike. Owner Lan Jin, who also teaches Chinese at Bethesda’s Norwood School, is known for her homemade recipes prepared by a small army of Chinese grandmas. The restaurant offers a rotating selection of dumplings as well as steamed buns, crispy and spicy wontons, shumai, spring rolls, chive pockets, scallion pancakes, fried peanuts and other Chinese favorites. You can also buy frozen dumplings to heat up at home. You’ll find Jinlan at the White Flint Station shopping center, 11620 Rockville Pike, between Ize’s Deli and Tropical Smoothie Cafe.
