Royal Durbar, a new Nepalese restaurant, is now open at Rockville’s Woodmont Station shopping center. The ornately decorated dining room serves cuisine from the Himalayas, blending elements of Indian and Tibetan cooking. The menu features aromatic dishes like momo dumplings, chatamari rice crepes, thukpa noodle soup and curried goat. You’ll find Royal Durbar at 1321 Rockville Pike, in the space that was previously home to Saffron Indian Cuisine and the short-lived Damso Korean BBQ.
