Opening soon at Westfield Montgomery mall: Brio’s Chicken, a new restaurant specializing in traditional Peruvian dishes. Construction is nearly complete in the space most recently occupied by Tara Thai, which many remember in its previous incarnation as Legal Sea Foods. We were surprised that Westfield Montgomery would add another Peruvian restaurant to its lineup, as there’s already a Don Pollo just around the corner at the mall-owned Westlake Crossing shopping center. But while Brio’s will offer a fast-casual menu similar to Don Pollo’s, it also will have a full-service dining section with a bar. Owner Jose Lara, who previously operated a similar restaurant in Silver Spring, tells us the food will be organic and halal with a tapas-style brunch on weekends.
