Just a few months after it opened in the old Tara Thai space at Westfield Montgomery mall, Peruvian restaurant Brio’s Chicken closed its doors in late September. Owner Jose Lara tells us the closing was not his decision, but he was unable to reach an agreement with the mall over costly repairs to the aging kitchen equipment. Lara, who previously worked in D.C.-area commercial and government kitchens, says he hopes to reopen Brio’s at another location in this area.
