Your Pike & Rose shopping trips might be a little less caffeinated this holiday season: Starbucks has closed its doors on Grand Park Avenue as the coffee chain shutters some 250 locations across North America. This one opened in 2018, replacing an older Starbucks just off Rockville Pike that predated the construction of Pike & Rose. No word yet on who might take the newly empty space between H&M and Sur La Table. Meanwhile, coffee lovers can still get their fix at Sunday Morning Bakehouse across the street.

Starbucks didn’t give explanations for individual closings. They just said they were shedding “underperforming” locations.

Interesting they would consider this an “underperforming” store. “Underperforming” to what exactly? I mean there is a huge amount of traffic at P&R overall.
