Pollo Campero, a Guatemalan chain specializing in grilled and fried chicken, is heading to the Dining Terrace at Westfield Montgomery mall. It’s taking the space that was recently vacated by Greek Aroma, between J. Chow’s and Panda Express. The Central American menu will feature sandwiches, salads, bowls and empanadas, with sides like mashed potatoes, French fries, yuca fries, sweet plantains, beans and rice. On the sweet side, there will be flan, horchata and mango drinks. Pollo Campero already has a half-dozen other locations in Maryland, including one in Gaithersburg. The mall location is expected to open this winter.
