A week after Party City declared Chapter 7 bankruptcy, the Rockville store is still packed with merchandise and prices are just beginning to drop. The shelves are full of balloons, costumes, holiday items, all kinds of paper goods, and plenty of decor for New Year’s and Super Bowl parties. Party City plans to close all 850 stores by Feb. 1 or earlier. Employees in Rockville say they’re not sure how long this location will remain open.
