Bed Bath & Beyond found a buyer this week, but its brick-and-mortar stores are still toast. Online retailer Overstock.com has agreed to pay $21.5 million for the company’s internet properties, social media, mobile platforms, business data, publicity rights and trademarks. So the Bed Bath & Beyond name will live on — but the stores, which were plagued by low inventory long before the company filed Chapter 11, will continue liquidating and likely disappear for good.
