Moby Dick House of Kabob opened its 26th location this week at 11421-A Rockville Pike — and we’re hearing that another one may be heading to Cabin John Village. Alex Momeni, chief operating officer for the Hyattsville-based chain, says he can’t discuss Cabin John but can confirm that the company is expanding faster than at any time in its 34-year history. Some locations are corporate-owned and some are owned by franchisees; most of the new ones are designed to facilitate carry-out and delivery. “Dine-in is not what it used to be,” Momeni says. “On the weekends, you’ll still see families dine in like they used to. But on the weekdays, it’s mostly curbside pickup and delivery. The world has changed since the pandemic.”
