The team behind Cava Mezze, Julii, Melina and Bouboulina has announced a name and an opening date for their newest restaurant in Potomac Village. The former Renato’s will reopen this spring as Maurizio’s, honoring a colleague who passed away unexpectedly last November. Maurizio Luise worked closely with founders Ted Xenohristos, Dimitri Moshovitis and Ike Grigoropoulos, helping to develop their collection of local upscale restaurants. The new Maurizio’s, a few doors down from The Market at River Falls, will serve a modern Italian menu for dine-in and carryout.
