Irish restaurant Lahinch, a sister to Glen Echo’s Irish Inn, will close its doors May 30th after a six-year run at Cabin John Village. The pandemic was a contributing factor, says co-owner Ted Hughes, but the arrival of a neighboring townhouse community made everything that much more challenging. “The new construction made it impossible to continue with the business model we had created, which was based on live music,” Hughes says. “With the loss of parking, the proximity of the townhomes and the fact that we could no longer open our windows because of the noise, we just couldn’t make it work.”
