Here’s a sneak peek of Rockville’s new Dolan Uyghur Restaurant, opening this month in the former Peter Chang space at The Square. Dolan replaces the short-lived Kung Fu Kitchen, which recently closed after just a year in business. Uyghur cuisine is a spicy blend of Chinese and Middle Eastern dishes including hand-pulled noodles, fried rice, dumplings, naan and kabobs. Desserts range from baklava and honey cake to Turkish pudding and Dubai chocolate cheesecake. All the food is halal. The Rockville restaurant will be the fourth for Dolan, which has two locations in Virginia and one in D.C.
