British-themed restaurant chain Duke’s Grocery opened its doors in Potomac Village this week, bringing the charm and cheek of a London pub to the former Lock 72/Tavern at River Falls space. This is the first Maryland location for the popular D.C. chain, best known for its burgers, oversized sandwiches, crispy fries and white truffle mac-and-cheese. Enter through the new restaurant’s bright red doors, and you’ll find a kitschy and comfortable atmosphere with leather booths, British-themed decor and a central copper-top bar. Duke’s is only open for dinner right now, but it will soon begin offering happy hour, lunch and weekend brunch. You’ll find it near Starbucks, next door to The Market at River Falls.
