Two D.C.- area food trucks are setting up shop at Westfield Montgomery mall, opening their first brick-and-mortar locations in the next few months. District Falafel, offering salads, wraps, shawarma and gyros, is taking over the onetime Fu Shing space at Westlake Crossing. And Malia’s Kitchen, serving up a soul-food and seafood menu of fried chicken, pulled pork, hush puppies, crab cakes and collard greens, is taking over the Dining Terrace space next to McDonald’s. This will be the fourth eatery to occupy that spot in the past few years, following the brief runs of Patisserie Manuel, Big Al’s Subs and Lazzaro’s Italian Deli.
