Signet Jewelers, parent company of Kay Jewelers, Piercing Pagoda, Jared and Zales, says it will permanently close some 150 stores that have been shuttered due to coronavirus. Another 150 stores will shut down early next year as the jewelry company pares back its brick-and-mortar business. No word yet on what this will mean for Westfield Montgomery mall, which is home to a Kay Jewelers and a Piercing Pagoda, or for the Jared store on Rockville Pike.
