All of a sudden, Rockville’s Federal Plaza has become a destination for locally owned boutiques. dd’s Closet, now open near Trader Joe’s, is brimming with gowns, bags, shoes, textiles and jewelry direct from India. Over near Mamma Lucia, Bonday Gift Boutique puts together custom gift baskets and carries an array of clothes, tote bags, home decor and artwork primarily from Africa. Joining the lineup in August is the Ibhana boutique, relocating from Potomac Woods Plaza. More on that in our July 21st edition.
