Bethesda-based shirtmaker Collars & Co. launches a holiday pop-up shop this weekend at Rockville’s Congressional Plaza. Founder Justin Baer is pictured here with a ’57 Porsche that will be available for in-store photo ops, along with a replica of a private jet. Baer launched the company in 2021 and landed a deal on Shark Tank the following year, earning investments from sharks Mark Cuban and Peter Jones. Collars & Co. reached $30 million in sales last year and has opened three stores around the country, but none in Baer’s hometown until now. The brand’s core product is a polo shirt with a crisp dress-shirt collar, designed to lie smoothly under a sweater. “It’s a really fun gift for the guy who has everything,” Baer says. If sales go well in Rockville, he’s hoping to open a permanent location in this area.
