Kenaki Sushi Counter, which has been drawing foodies to Kentlands Market Square since 2018, just signed the lease for a new location at Cabin John Village. The upcoming restaurant, to be called Kema by Kenaki, will take over part of the old Zohra space near the front of the Cabin John mini-mall. This will be the third venture for the brother/sister team of Ken and Aki Ballogdajan, the former a veteran of Raku who has forged his reputation on signature rolls like the Donkey Kong (eel, cream cheese and fried plantains) and the Black Magic (forbidden rice, spicy tuna, pickled jalapeño and truffle oil). Projected opening at Cabin John: February or March of 2022.
