Anya by Vivien, the two-year-old couture and bridal shop at Westfield Montgomery mall, is relocating to a larger space next door to Nordstrom. The store carries its own custom line of formalwear and bridal attire, with dresses starting around $200 and wedding gowns from $3,000 to $10,000. Owner Vivien Agbakoba, who studied design in her native Nigeria, says she worked a series of corporate jobs before returning to her original passion for fashion. “I’ve been making clothes for more than 30 years,” she tells us. “But now that my kids are all grown, I can really do my thing.” Agbakoba also has benefited from her decades-long friendship with Karen Huger, the Real Housewives of Potomac star who has worn some of her styles on TV. The store will become a hub for their nonprofit, Felicia’s Fund, which trains underprivileged young women for careers in the fashion industry.
