Always Ice Cream Company, a fast-growing Maryland chain known for its inventive flavors, is heading to Pike & Rose. This will be the first Montgomery County location for brothers Mark and Adam Cohen, whose family purchased Annapolis Ice Cream Company in 2019. The Cohens and their father have since expanded to eight locations under the Always Ice Cream umbrella, offering 200-plus rotating flavors of ultra-premium ice cream as well as soft serve, ice cream cakes, root beer floats, brownie sundaes and banana splits. “We are a true old-fashioned ice cream parlor, but with a modern spin,” says Mark Cohen. “We have new flavors almost every week, and we’re known for putting full pies and cakes into our ice cream.” Cohen is aiming for a fall opening in the outer southeast corner of Pike & Rose, between Chipotle and Visionworks.
