Yet another promising new restaurant on the way to Pike & Rose: Roaming Rooster, a D.C.-based business known for its southern fried chicken sandwiches, is set to move in this fall. This will be the first Maryland location for Roaming Rooster, which launched six years ago as a food truck. The menu includes honey butter fried chicken, Nashville hot chicken, wings, biscuits, tater tots and twice-baked fries. You’ll find Roaming Rooster in the former Roti space facing Old Georgetown Road, next door to Bibibop Asian Grill. Also opening soon at Pike & Rose: Melina, a new venture from the founders of Cava and Julii (click here for more); and Call Your Mother Deli (click here for details and a sneak peek inside).
