Dave’s Hot Chicken has opened its doors in North Bethesda, bringing its spicy lineup of tenders, sliders and fries to 11654 Rockville Pike. In a fast-food switcheroo earlier this year, Dave’s took over the former McDonald’s building after McDonald’s moved a bit further north into the former Arby’s space. Dave’s specializes in Nashville-style hot chicken, with heat levels ranging from mild to extra-spicy. You can also cool things down with a milkshake or fruit-flavored slushy. A vegetarian option, fried cauliflower bites, pops up from time to time. It’s not on the menu now, but it’s expected to be back for a short run in January.
