Did anyone think Rockville Pike needed yet another mattress store? Apparently someone did. Sleep Number has replaced Mod Pizza, which went dark last June at the Montrose Crossing shopping center. Mod had been one of the early tenants of the restaurant row that replaced the old Timpano. Three of the original eateries — Cava Grill, Honeygrow and Five Guys — are still in business. A fourth, Slapfish, closed its doors in 2022 and was later replaced by Rasa.
