Finally some good news for the restaurant scene at Westfield Montgomery mall: Korean fast-food eatery Seoulspice is moving in. With three locations in the D.C. area and three more on the way, Seoulspice offers customizable bibimbap rice bowls, japchae noodle bowls, salads and Korean-style burritos. Signature combos include the “Seoul Train” (bulgogi beef, kale slaw and kimchi), the “Herbivore” (tofu, bean sprouts and ginger carrot sauce) and the “Fireball” (spicy pork, pickled radish and Korean hot sauce). Opening is tentatively scheduled for April, replacing the recently departed Spice 6. The mall still has a lot more empty restaurant spaces to fill: At least seven eateries have closed there since the pandemic began. More on that in our Dec. 3 edition.
