If you’re willing to leave MoCo for an afternoon shopping fix, the brand new Bloomie’s in northern Virginia might well be worth the 30-minute drive. This first-of-its-kind boutique packs designer brands, trending labels and bespoke service into 22,000 square feet — a fraction of the size of big sister Bloomingdale’s. At a preview this week, we spotted names like Dior, Prada, Gucci, Vince, Stella McCartney, Helmut Lang, Rag & Bone, Barbour, LoveShack Fancy, Moussy, Mother and Golden Goose. There’s also a kiosk devoted to Bloomie’s-branded varsity jackets and combat boots, a curated selection of pet gifts, and a customization desk where your purchases can be monogrammed and bedazzled. If all that shopping makes you hungry, an in-house Colada Shop serves up Cuban bites, coffee and cocktails. You’ll find the new Bloomie’s in the Mosaic District, just south of Tysons Corner.
