Opening in late summer at the Wildwood shopping center: Sarah’s Handmade Ice Cream & Treats, a small-batch scoop shop featuring one-of-a-kind flavors like Lavender Honey, Key West Key Lime Pie, Dark & Stormy Rum Raisin, Cherry Blossom Festival and Black Sesame Snickerdoodle. Also: custom cakes and pies, milkshakes, floats, boozy ice cream and fresh-baked cookie ice cream sandwiches. This will be the second location for Sarah’s, a local business that launched last year at Bethesda’s Kenwood Station shopping center. You’ll find it next to the still-closed Le Pain Quotidien, which might not ever reopen. (More on that in our May 28th edition.)
